Get involved
There are lots of ways to be part of furbd.
Whether you’re an individual, a business, or part of a team, getting involved means helping good technology reach further and supporting practical change in the community.
You don’t need lots of time, specialist knowledge or a big budget. Small actions matter.
Fundraise
Bring people together around something positive
Whether it’s a personal challenge, a workplace idea or a community event, every fundraiser helps keep furbd moving and reaching people who need support.
You can set up your own fundraising page through Enthuse to collect donations, share your story and encourage support from friends, family or colleagues. If you are not quite sure where to start, that is absolutely fine. We are here to help with ideas, resources and support, from setting up your page to spreading the word.
Raise awareness
Help our work reach further
Sometimes the most powerful support is helping others discover what we do.
You can raise awareness by:
- Making introductions to businesses with unused tech
- Sharing our work and stories with your networks
- Recommending furbd to organisations, schools or community groups
Small actions like these help open doors and create new opportunities.

Supporting furbd can contribute to your ESG and CSR goals through:
- Responsible reuse of surplus technology
- Reducing electronic waste and carbon impact

- Employee volunteering and team engagement opportunities
We offer flexible ways to get involved, from bulk technology donations and corporate volunteering days to longer-term partnerships.
Become a furbd distributor
We work with local organisations across the Tees Valley who know their communities well and understand where access to technology is missing. Becoming a furbd distributor means helping refurbished devices reach people who need them most, in a way that’s thoughtful, supportive and grounded in real need. If your organisation supports people without access to digital devices, working with us is a practical way to help people get connected.
Become a drop off point
We work with local venues across the Tees Valley to make donating technology easy and accessible. Becoming a drop off point means offering a safe, convenient place for people to pass on their devices.
You’ll need a space that’s open to the public, someone who can check donations have been registered online, and a secure place to store equipment until it’s collected.
If this sounds like a good fit, we’d love to work with you.
What happens next
If you’d like to get involved but aren’t sure where to start, that’s completely fine. We’ll talk things through with you and help find the right option, with no pressure or expectation.
It starts with a conversation about what works for you.
